Depending on the type of accommodation and your personal circumstances, there are three types of financial support that you may be eligible for:
- The allocation de logement à caractère social (Als - community housing grant) if you are a single student or have a partner, without dependents.
- The allocation de logement à caractère famillial (Alf - family housing grant) if you are a single student or have a partner and dependents and you live in mainland France or its overseas territories.
- The aide personnalisée au logement (Apl - personal housing grant) applies to single students or students with a partner, with or without dependants, who live in private subsidised accommodation in mainland France.
