For France:
You’ll need to apply for a long-stay student visa (VLS-TS). Applicants from countries using the Études en France (Campus France) procedure must complete it online before applying for their visa.
For Germany:
Non-EU students must apply for a student visa at the German embassy or consulate in their country — ideally three months before arrival.
