#ATM teaching approach
Drawing heavily on the ARTEM alliance, established in 1999 and of which ICN Business School is a member, our #ATM teaching approach – Art, Technology and Management – is based on innovation, interdisciplinarity and the exchange of knowledge.
The #ATM approach in practice
Whether you choose the Bachelor’s in Management or the Master’s in Management, you’ll experience the ATM teaching approach! Our aim is to get you working alongside students from other schools to broaden your horizons and develop your adaptability when tackling a shared challenge.
This approach meets the needs of businesses, which are always on the lookout for talented individuals who innovate, take risks and adapt. Through practical case studies, it also moves away from purely theoretical methods to focus on hands-on experimentation.
By meeting professionals from all walks of life, you will develop a more holistic way of thinking. You will find yourself in unusual situations: you will learn through interaction, dialogue and research rather than from books and the internet.
In short, the #ATM teaching method is a unique experience in France!
With our teachers
The #ATM teaching approach also involves tackling serious issues in a fun way, much like the LEGO® Serious Play method. Kamel Mnisri, a lecturer at ICN Business School, tells you more in this video! 👉🏽
Furthermore, given the popularity of this method, since 2024 we have been offering the LEGO® test as part of the oral admissions exams for our preparatory courses! It’s a way of preparing our future students for the #ATM teaching approach.
#ATM in our programmes
Throughout your time at ICN Business School, the #ATM teaching approach will be incorporated into a wide range of activities. Find out more!

In fact, the SMArt project aims to encourage you to reflect on the benefits of interdisciplinarity throughout your professional career. Working in groups over several days, you will define what the ‘responsible manager of tomorrow’ should be.

#ATM architecture
The #ATM teaching approach takes shape in a single location that brings together the three schools. The Nancy ARTEM campus is a well-designed layout that encourages interaction between students. Thanks to the campus’s layout, the schools enable their students to work on cross-disciplinary issues.
Furthermore, the site fosters new behaviours linked to the mobility and responsiveness of our society.
#ATM in Paris and Berlin too
The locations of the other two ICN Business School campuses are also #ATM-compatible. In the heart of La Défense in Paris, ICN has 8,000 m² of space to welcome students and understand the needs of businesses. The capital is also a central hub for hosting students from all over the world from our partner universities, with whom the school is already collaborating on #ATM projects.
The Berlin campus, situated in the vibrant Moabit district, brings us into close proximity with artists, business incubators, institutions and other schools. Particularly in the arts, these partnerships enrich our thinking and enable us to carry out joint projects with students from these schools.
A message from the director
Teaching at a business school has become more demanding. As well as teaching, lecturers must also understand the challenges facing businesses. Our aim is to guide students towards success by equipping them not only with the skills relevant to their future careers, but also with the personal and interpersonal skills needed to adapt to any situation they may encounter in the workplace.
