Biography
Dr Lars Groeger is permanent Professor of Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship at ICN Berlin. With more than 15 years of experience as an educator, researcher and advisor to industry , he combines his passion for teaching with his expertise in human-centred design, business model innovation, entrepreneurship, and customer engagement.
Lars has taught Business Model Innovation, Strategic Marketing Management, Consumer Behaviour and Design Thinking to MBA students and Executives in Sydney and Hong Kong for more than 10 years. Recently, Lars was appointed as acting Chair and Professor of Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship at University of Potsdam. He is also a Design Thinking Coach at the HPI School of Design Thinking, Potsdam, Germany and Affiliate Professor at RWTH Aachen University.
Lars is a frequent speaker at international conferences, business forums and workshops in Australia and Europe. His research explores design thinking capabilities and leadership, business models as complex adaptive systems, the emergence of University Incubators, as well as online and offline customer engagement and has been published in leading academic and professional journals.
As a Co-founding Partner at Fisherfolk, a strategy and education consultancy, Lars works with leading global corporations, start-ups and public institutions on topics ranging from co-creating market facing strategy, innovation capability building among senior leaders and their teams as well as mentoring transformation projects.
Lars has been educated at leading universities in Europe and the US, including University of Cologne, HEC Paris and Pennsylvania State University. He lives with his wife and two daughters either in Sydney or Berlin.
