Biography
Gérald Duffing is Director of the ICN Grande Ecole Program ("ICN Diploma") since 2008. He joined ICN Business School in 2000 as Associate Professor. He obtained two master's degrees in computer science in 1993 and 1994 (in the field of management of financial information systems, then in fundamental computer science), then a doctorate in computer science in 1999 (in the field of information retrieval and more particularly images). In parallel, Gérald exercised until 2012, a professional activity in a passenger transport SME, as co-manager and IT manager.
He teaches at ICN Business School since 2000, at master level. His teaching activities concern the management of information systems; he has also led four Artem workshops. He is also the developer of a complete management simulation game for an MBA and master audience.
His areas of interest in teaching and research include management, governance and auditing of information systems (he is ISACA's academic advocate), designing support systems business intelligence, information research and business intelligence systems. From 2000 to 2014, he conducted his research activities at LORIA, where he prepared his PhD.
From an administrative point of view, Gérald successively directed several academic and professional departments at ICN before taking charge of the Grande Ecole program in 2008. He is actively involved in the development and evolution of the program in France and abroad.
