Recruit an ICN Student

Recruiting an ICN student, whether for an internship or an apprenticeship, means bringing motivated and job-ready talent into your organisation, trained through the innovative #ATM pedagogy and ready to contribute quickly to your projects. Discover how you can strengthen your teams while supporting the professional development of our future graduates.

Recruit a Creative Profile

At ICN Business School, we place strong emphasis on training agile, open-minded students. Through the #ATM pedagogy, they develop practical skills and an innovative mindset, enabling them to contribute quickly to your projects.

Recruiting an ICN student means gaining access to profiles that bring fresh ideas, initiative and valuable adaptability to meet the specific needs of your organisation. Whether through an internship or an apprenticeship, you benefit from a mutually beneficial partnership with the school, along with dedicated support to maximise the value of this collaboration.

Internship or Apprenticeship?

An internship allows you to integrate a student for a short period to carry out a specific assignment, bringing a fresh and operational perspective.

An apprenticeship, on the other hand, is a longer-term commitment that supports progressive skills development. The student becomes a fully involved team member, contributing to your projects and quickly gaining autonomy. This format is a strategic way to train future talent according to your methods and secure your recruitment pipeline.

Since joining us, Jonah quickly became part of the team. He is dynamic, proactive, and never hesitates to put forward relevant suggestions. We have observed real progress between his time at ICN and his experience within our company. He has a strong sense of teamwork while remaining perfectly autonomous in his tasks. Always pleasant, responsive, and eager to learn, he adapts quickly to different situations and shows a genuine desire to improve. It is a pleasure to support him throughout his apprenticeship.

ELYDAN
Léane joined our company as an apprentice, where she was entrusted with developing and analysing the French market for our charging station. Thanks to her technical and personal skills, she independently manages project groups to meet the various commercial, legal, and administrative objectives we assign to her. Without our partnership with ICN, we would not have been able to carry out these tasks, as neither the profile nor the resource was available within our company.

FAQ

What is an Apprenticeship Contract? Hide answer Show answer

An apprenticeship contract is a specific type of employment contract in which the employer commits to providing professional training and paying a salary to the apprentice. In return, the apprentice works within the company while also undertaking complementary academic training at a training centre.

The duration of the contract typically ranges from 6 to 24 months, depending on the qualification being prepared. This duration may be adjusted to reflect the apprentice’s initial level of skills. Under certain conditions, it is possible to extend the contract by up to an additional year.

Will My Company Receive Financial Support for Hiring an Apprentice? Hide answer Show answer

Since 8 March 2026, the exceptional apprenticeship grant has been set as follows:

  • For companies with fewer than 250 employees: €2,000 for qualifications at Levels 6 and 7 (equivalent to Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees)
  • For companies with 250 employees or more: €750 for Levels 6 and 7 (Bachelor’s and Master’s levels)

These amounts may be increased up to €6,000 where the apprentice has a recognised disability, regardless of the level of qualification or the size of the company.

The Apprentice I Wish to Recruit Has a Disability: Can They Undertake an Apprenticeship? Hide answer Show answer

A person with a recognised disability can undertake an apprenticeship and enter into a contract leading to a professional qualification. Apprentices benefit from specific adjustments and support measures in line with their status.

Apprentices are encouraged to declare their disability in order to access appropriate support. For further information, they may contact our Disability Officer: Madeleine Ostrowski.

Can an Apprentice Complete Their Apprenticeship Abroad? Hide answer Show answer

The apprenticeship contract is specific to French labour law. Apprenticeship training can only be carried out within a company registered in France with a SIRET number.

However, it is possible to complete part of the apprenticeship abroad, subject to the employer’s agreement, through an international mobility agreement. In such cases, financial support may be granted to the apprentice.

This mobility may take place as part of a professional experience or an academic stay. For further information regarding international mobility, please contact our International Mobility Officer: Christelle Heulard (contact details available at the top of the page).

The apprentice is a foreign national: can they sign an apprenticeship contract? Hide answer Show answer

Students who are nationals of the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA)
Signing an apprenticeship contract is possible. The principle of free movement of workers allows EU/EEA nationals to enter into an apprenticeship contract using a valid form of identification (passport or national identity card).

Students who are nationals of countries outside the European Union (non-EU/EEA)
The apprentice must hold a valid residence permit confirming their legal status in France.

The signing of an apprenticeship contract may be possible from the first year of study in France only for the following programmes: the Grande École Programme and the DESSMI MSc, both Level 1 degrees accredited by the Conférence des Grandes Écoles (CGE).

The apprentice is 30 years old. Can they sign an apprenticeship contract? Hide answer Show answer

An apprentice must be no older than 29 years of age (i.e. up to 30 minus one day).

If the apprentice is under 35 years old, they may still sign an apprenticeship contract in the following cases:

  • When entering into a new contract to obtain a higher-level qualification than the one already achieved
  • If the previous apprenticeship contract was terminated for reasons beyond the apprentice’s control
  • If the previous contract was terminated due to temporary physical incapacity

However, there is no upper age limit in the following situations:

  • Apprentices recognised as workers with disabilities
  • Apprentices intending to create or take over a business requiring a qualification
  • High-level athletes officially registered as such
  • Apprentices who did not obtain their qualification and are entering a new contract with a different employer in order to retake the examination

If none of these conditions apply, it may be possible to consider a contrat de professionnalisation (professional training contract) as an alternative pathway.
