M. Olivier Mesly détient un DBA en marketing de l’Université de Sherbrooke (2010), lequel a été suivi d’un stage postdoctoral à HEC Montréal en 2011. Il a aussi obtenu un MBA en agro-alimentaire de l’Université Guelph et un B.A. en Études asiatiques (et un diplôme en relations publiques) de l’Université McGill (avec distinction) – Canada. Il a aussi un certificat universitaire en chant.
Il enseigne une grande variété de cours, surtout en marketing (marketing de base, recherche en marketing, marketing international, marketing management, etc.) et en gestion de projets (faisabilité de projets, gestion de projets internationaux, etc.), et ce, dans trois langues; français, anglais ou espagnol.
Ses recherches se concentrent sur l’analyse des marchés dysfonctionnels et les comportements conséquents des agents de marché, surtout ceux de prédation financière. Ses travaux multidisciplinaires sont publiés dans des revues scientifiques et livres internationaux en économie, finance comportementale, gestion de projets, marketing, et psychologie.
Il a travaillé de nombreuses années comme responsable des marchés internationaux avant de poursuivre des études doctorales, ce qui l’a amené à côtoyer diverses cultures dans divers pays du monde, dont en Europe, en Asie, en Afrique et dans les trois Amériques.
