Professor MESLY obtained a DBA in marketing from the University of Sherbrooke (2010), which was followed by a postdoctorate fellowship at HEC Montréal in 2011. Prior to this, he completed an MBA at Guelph University in agribusiness, as well as a B.A. in East Asian studies and a diploma in public relations at McGill University (with distinction) – Canada. He also has a university certificate in music (2017).
He teaches a variety of courses, mostly in the areas of marketing (basic course, marketing research, international marketing, marketing management, etc.) and project management (project feasibility and management of international projects), in three languages: English, French, or Spanish.
His research focuses on dysfunctional markets and their agents, especially in regards to predatory behaviours. His multidisciplinary works are published in international scholarly articles and books in the areas of behavioural finance, economy, marketing, project management, and psychology.
Prior to commencing his career as a professor/researcher, he worked for many years in international markets, which allowed him to do business in a variety of countries, including in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
