ICN MSc in Luxury and Design Management

The ICN MSc Degree in Luxury and Design Management, (5 years post-High School), is taught on the ICN Business School’s ARTEM campus in Nancy, in the Lorraine region in the north east of France. This unique campus is the result of a partnership between the three Higher Education Schools which make up the ARTEM Alliance: the Nancy National School of Art and Design, ICN Business School and Mines Nancy.

The originality of the program lies in the fact that it studies the world of luxury products and services in a fully interdisciplinary way, which enables its future graduates to:

  • become skilled players in the interaction between creators of luxury products and services,
  • provide an invaluable input into creation and production as a result of discussions with the designer,
  • demonstrate competence and confidence in defining a marketing, sales or purchasing strategy, whilst taking into account the financial implications.

In addition to the taught courses, you will:

  • Participate in company visits, to further your understanding of the specific characteristics of the luxury market and discuss these with experienced professionals.
  • Carry out, as a group, a problem-solving project. The problem will be set by professionals from a luxury brand or an institutional organization.
  • Complete an internship of 3 to 6 months, requiring a final written report and an oral presentation before a panel of examiners.

In addition to the taught courses, you will:

  • Attend refresher courses (see brochure)
  • Write a MSc Thesis on an issue or a problem relating to the luxury sector. This will be assessed by an oral presentation before a panel of examiners..
  • Participate in a week-long study trip abroad to discover one of the international luxury markets.
  • Complete an internship of 3 to 6 months, and draft a written report on your internship mission or project.
  • (Optional) Carry out a semester-long period of study abroad. This is only available for students who have followed the two-year program).

FRENCH CANDIDATES:

  • Admission is by competitive entrance examination, via ICN’s service admissions
